My most recent long weekend trips to New York City have come at times when I needed them more then I realized. My eyes were opened to see that maybe I was beginning to approach travel not as a joy, but as a job. Also, being at a point of feeling slightly discouraged and a little aimless, I was so vividly reminded of what I want to pursue and what my work is for. Continue reading “Is Travel Worth It?”
Each time I’ve been in New York City I have stayed on the Upper West Side. So I may be biased, but if you want to experience NYC like a local, I think this is a great start. Here are a few reasons I love calling Upper West Side home when I visit The Big Apple!

I fell in love with New York City. I wasn’t expecting to, but the city pulled me in. I loved catching my first glimpses of the skyline as I neared the end of my 4 hour bus ride. I loved staying on the Upper West Side. I loved walking everywhere. I loved the soreness in my feet at the end of the day as a testament to all the places I had gone. I loved staying 2 blocks from Central Park and 1 block from the Night at the Museum museum. Continue reading “New York City | Part 3”
