It’s been a sweet year. Full of the absolutely, completely, unexpected. I wrote, I traveled, I worked, and looking back on all of it is leaving me amazed and truly grateful.

While I loved riding the Staten Island Ferry and catching views of the Statue of Liberty and that iconic NYC skyline, a proper visit to Liberty Island and Ellis Island were on the must do list this visit. I was grateful for a beautiful morning with plenty of blue skies and sunshine to take in this iconic piece of history.

The time I spent in New York City was full of wandering. We made plans a day at a time, and enjoyed not having a rigid agenda.
