When it comes to holiday decorations, there is a fine line between no longer something you enjoy and something that holds sentimental value. That being said, keep what really means something (and I personally try to make that something small and easily portable and packable) and don’t worry about letting go of the rest. The way I see it, it’s fun to browse places like the Target Dollar Spot for new little things during the holidays. While I love the holidays and am all about the holiday spirit, I am not an over the top decorator. So I do like to get a couple things that catch my eye for the season/holiday, but unless I really like them, I don’t usually even pack them away, I just get rid of them. I would rather have the clear space than little trinkets.

While we’re on the topic of holidays, I also do not like accumulating wrapping paper. I have one roll that I pick out each year and I use that for every gift that I give (I am old fashioned and don’t like gift bags). I choose something that I can mix and match different ribbons and bows with and I just get creative with it! I like to use real ribbon, twine and pretty hand altering on the paper itself to mix it up.

Do you have any tips nohow to minimize the holiday stuff accumulation?
