So, part of the minimalist challenge is to clean and organize everything I keep while I minimize. Today I am cleaning out my car, and I fully intended to also clean my car, inside and out, on this day. But it’s pretty gloomy our right now and it’s looking like we might be seeing some rain, so, we’ll see if I can make that happen. If not, no big deal! We’ll get that done later this week, not only for this challenge, but also because it’s ready for a good rinse!

I have trusty little Honda Civic, so while you would think there aren’t a whole lot of spaces for stuff to hide, stuff shows up. One of the things I really love about Honda is their smart design. Not only is the trunk per spacious, they make the most of each bit of space and really think progressively in their design and add ons. This is one of many reasons (also, that lifetime warranty is a big selling point!) I really like driving a Honda.

I do not like a cluttered vehicle, so I didn’t have any loose change (one of my pet peeves actually), clothes, papers, etc. floating around the floorboard. So I went through my small but deep console, catch all tray, and glove box to check to make sure everything that was in them was necessary. Then I dusted the dash and wiped everything down with cleaning wipes (vacuuming will happen when the carwash happened). I did have rather a lot of stuff in my trunk. Between ministry and soccer games and nannying, some things have accumulated. With the end of the school year getting close, I don’t need a lot of the ministry of nanny stuff in there. So now, only what I currently need is in there and it is organized and secure. And seeing how much time I spend in my car on a daily basis, it’s great to have it cleared out and clean.
