When life gets crazy or exciting or overwhelming or things change, I write. It’s always been this way for me. And so as an extension of this, I am going to have a weekly, “here’s a little bit of life”, post. From working in college ministry to life as a part time nanny. Date nights and soccer games on the weekends. Reading and drinking coffee and squeezing in a run. Just taking a moment to look back at what the week has brought me before plunging into that all so wonderful weekend!
Today marks one year with the sweet boy. Our story is one of being continually amazed by what God has done and is doing. For me, it’s one of wrestling with trusting the Lord and learning to rest in His all sufficient grace. It is a milestone to be celebrating a year with this dear man.
The boy started the celebration early last night with a walk down memory lane in the form of a series of clues that led me to significant places from the last year. The adventure wrapped up (or started, depending on how you look at it) on a bridge over looking the Dallas skyline where this man asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I gladly and giddily said yes!
This was my first full work week of the year, and we jumped in head first. Kicking off the week with Intern evaluations on Monday and then cramming lots of work into one staff meeting since next week is a shorter one AND we kick off the semester! Thinking through and working to apply some of the things I heard at the Passion Conference last week and meditating on my verse for 2017 regularly.

Who else loves the dollar spot at Target? I have found so many things for Zoe here for typically $3 or less. I came across the super cute and colorful pillows this week and I got her little kennel all decked out. She love laying on the pillows on the couch (or knocking them to the floor) and so when I saw these, I thought of her kennel right away! And they go great with all her bright toys! Let’s see how long they last…
20Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. // Ephesians 2:20-21
Tonight we are headed to Fort Worth to see the Monet exhibit at the Kimbell Art Museum and try out GRACE for dinner. I am looking forward to the long weekend and celebrating our engagement with friends and family!
