When life gets crazy or exciting or overwhelming or things change, I write. It’s always been this way for me. And so as an extension of this, I am going to have a weekly, “here’s a little bit of life”, post. From working in college ministry to life as a part time nanny. Date nights and soccer games on the weekends. Reading and drinking coffee and squeezing in a run. Just taking a moment to look back at what the week has brought me before plunging into that all so wonderful weekend!
I have enjoyed the lighter workload and the last two weeks and I just don’t want to imagine going back to my normal working hours. I have gotten a few runs in as well as more quality snuggle time with Zoe. I have gotten some much needed blog work done and done some envisioning for the future. I have made some decisions and got some rest, and it’s been needed.
Heading off once again this Sunday, but this time for work. Our college ministry staff is attending the Passion Conference in Atlanta, GA this upcoming week. I wish I could say we are flying, but it’s another road trip for me! I have heard great things about this conference, and am interested to see what it’s all about. My biggest concern is how in the world my brain is going to stay engaged for 3 days.
My Dad gave me these perfect hammered, stackable rings for Christmas and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I already love mixing up what fingers they go on, and the hammered detail is just perfect. I helped my Dad pick out a special gift for my Mom for Christmas, and he surprised me with these! I love the quality and timeless style that James Avery offers! Their product car exchange offers some forgiveness and peace of mind and I love that they clean anything of theirs for free for the life of the piece.
Weird thing: I have caught myself accidentally dating things 2017 since the ends of 2015. So, I feel like I’m pretty ready! 2016 has been full of first and full of beautiful lessons and dear memories! I am still working on what I want my goals and aim to be for this next year, but things like the 52 Weeks Project and these weekly recaps on the blog help me process more frequently and keep me more thoughtful/on track without necessarily having a traditional “track”.
“And suddenly you know, it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.”
This weekend I will be laying low and getting ready to head to Georgia for work. Planning to get in plenty of puppy snuggles and get the house nice and ready for me to come back to it.
