A Week at a Time | 10/21/16

When life gets crazy or exciting or overwhelming or things change, I write. It’s always been this way for me. And so as an extension of this, I am going to have a weekly, “here’s a little bit of life”, post. From working in college ministry to life as a part time nanny. Date nights and soccer games on the weekends. Reading and drinking coffee and squeezing in a run. Just taking a moment to look back at what the week has brought me before plunging into that all so wonderful weekend!

This week has been one of continual reminders of why I do what I do, and I have needed that. It has been a week of encouragement and just a keen sense of gratefulness for the people who I am really blessed to be surrounded with. After last week just feeling stuck and frustrated and so over it, this week has been the biggest breath of fresh air.

Dog Mom Life

In most exciting news, I got a pup! I walked into the animal shelter and got caught. Meet Zoe. She’s already creating a bit of a new landscape to my life and I am loving it. As I type this we are fighting for who gets my right arm, whether me for typing or her for a head rest. She loves everyone and does so, so well out and about. She’s already been to her first small group and coffee shop. Can’t wait to take her on trips and lots of hikes!

Words

If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit.

This weekend will be all about the pup. From date night to dinner with the boy’s parents, Zoe will be coming along for all of it. And other then that it’s plenty of training and snuggles.
