After visiting Liberty Island we took the short boat ride to Ellis Island to enjoy all the history on the most beautiful day in New York.
Not pictured: The Bob Hope Memorial Library. It’s easy to miss as it’s definitely off the tourist-beaten path. I just happened to see a sign for it, and immediately got excited as his movies were some of my favorites growing up. It’s not too spectacular as far as libraries go, but I loved learning a bit about Hope’s life and how his long, beloved career started with his own journey to America as a young boy.
What’s your favorite photo from Ellis Island? Can you trace your family back to this place?
