Through the Lens: Palacio Real de Madrid

IMG_9777

After a delicious Spanish lunch near Sol we took a short metro ride to the Opera stop to see the palace. Later in the week we came back in hopes of taking a tour, but unfortunately, officials were in residence and the palace was in use. We explored and enjoyed the architecture and air conditioning at the beautiful Almudena Cathedral next door instead. A tour of the palace will definitely be on the agenda next time I’m in Madrid, but for this visit, enjoying the exterior had to suffice.
